ACM Report on Data Science 2021, See the ACM Computing Competencies for Undergraduate Data Science Curricula. Paul Leidig, Co-Chair; ACM Data Science Taskforce will present the first implementation of curricula guidelines for computing competencies, and discuss the move from a course/learning outcomes model to a competency framework.

He does independent analyst work with Gigaom; serves as Microsoft Regional Director (http://rd.microsoft.com/) and MVP; and is co-chair of Visual Studio Live!, SQL Server Live! and Artificial Intelligence Live!.   • Introduction for ARL/ARO (ARO is a component of ARL that funds extramural research)
  • Examples of research efforts intramural within ARL:
    • autonomy in cyber resilience and quantification of cyber resilience
    • limits of reinforcement learning when applied to military command and control
  • How academic researchers are funded by ARO, and what kind of CS-related topics are of interest.

Delaram Kahrobaei is the new University Dean for Research at CUNY since August 2021. She leads the Research Development and Programs at the Office of Research. Kahrobaei is looking for opportunities to work with CUNY faculty to put together large grant proposals particularly to fund students' research at all levels.
